Isaiah 8:3 --"And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived.." Some interpret this to mean 'wife of a prophet', yet the word is the same as the word used to define the female prophets listed elsewhere (Strong, #5031)
Joel 2:28 ; Acts 2;17 - -""And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. And also upn the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit." The word is defined by Strong's (#4395) "to foretell events, divine, speech under inspiration, exercise the prophetic office." The term used here is also identified as the term used to define the act by a man as well (see I Cor. 11:4 when it reads "Every man who praying or prophesying...." it is the same word used to refer to women engaged in the same act in 1 Cor. 11:5).
