Waiting...to Arise

God made women to be able to wait. Women see their friends, sisters and mothers waiting as the long nine months go by before they are delivered of a child. They watch and wait as a struggling life takes on layers of richness and fulfilment. They wait for something better to happen. They wait to mature and gain recognition and social value. They wait to be recognized and included. They wait til things calm down. They wait til heads are clear and bruises heal. They wait with wisdom and knowledge and "been-there-done-that" experience that goes begging by a child who thinks they know it all and need no help. They wait as a meal is prepared, rooms cleaned, and preparations made for another round of the same... Women can wait, that is a strength....women can also pray and that is a gift. Women also know that there is time when the waiting is over....the birth is at hand....the final task done.....and then they will arise to be the people God has wanted them to be....
