Simple Truth

The Genesis account lists the most important creation event as the first one: the creation of the male and female human.
Sin enters the world through the joint failings of the human being (one through ignorance (and the above webb site shows where ignorance lands a person) and one through willful disobedience).
Israel saw both men and women used by God as leaders, judges, prophets, and faithful people.
Jesus treated women as equals - when does he ever send them away? Yet, in his day that was the accepted thing to do. Instead, he tells one woman who sat at his feet ,just like the other disciples, that she was 'seeking the good part."
Women and men where in all parts of the life, death, resurrection and sending forth of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Women are found in the New Testament as ministers or deacons, as prophets, as leaders, as business women, as apostles.
Joel 2:28 "...I will pour out my Spirit on all people, your sons and daughters will prophesy...your old men shall dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, will I pour out my Spirit in those days and I will show wonders in the heavens and the earth."
See Acts 2:16-21 for Peter's use of this at the Day of Pentecost - clearly showing that the time of "your sons and daughters" prophesying (the word prophet means to act as a link between the divine world and the people) had indeed arrived.
Jesus called the Pharisees of his day (those hyper legalists who were so concerned about making sure others were holy) a " proud" and "stiffnecked" generation. I remember that description as I read many of these tirades and rants about why women "cannot" be pastors. They always catalog the reasons from scripture that women can not. I wonder what would happen if someone listed all the things men are supposed to be doing but no longer do......hmmm.
Along that line visit a funny and pointed "Ten Reasons Why Men Can't Be Ordained" at http://watkins.gospelcom.net/maleordination.htm
